A Side

1. You're Running

Now will you walk the road?  Now will you let it go when there’s nothing left to see that surprises you and me?

Your eyes never see the light, you only know that it ain’t alright...dancing when the sun goes down, running ‘till the sun is gone.

And you’re running yeah, running, been running so long. You’re running, running till the sun is gone.

You took passion on the road, left behind the friends you know. Calling some when you’re in need, pretending that life is such a dream.

You give them all their love affairs, help them dream away their cares. Making light of Venus’ Charm, acting like there ain’t nothin’ wrong.

Well, your body gave me sight; not all our future’s bright. And you dance when the sun goes down, running till the sun is gone.

2. No More

Take no more and move back, life on the edge, waiting for an attack.

Take no more, relax, times are hard now you just gotta give back.

Want no more to be sad, no bloodshot eyes, no waitin’ alone in bed.

Lay down, find out who you’re going to bed with in the zoo of your mind. You’re an animal in truth I think you’ll find.

Take no more and step back, standing in line just to pay your next check.

Take no more and see that this God I trust is only in my head.

Want no more and see that the only way is to let go instead.

3. Heaven

Heaven, so close to never. The time we’re wasting will always be gone.

Heaven, so far from here. The time we live is so far away from home.

When I tried it slipped away.

If I got too close it didn’t stay; a delay, a delay and I wait.

Heaven, so close to never. The years gone by can just leave you alone.

Heaven, so far from here. Simple times, a simple life I want to know.

When it took too long I prayed.

When I didn’t know I closed my shades, I looked away, I looked away and I wait.

Heaven, so close to never. You can look at the sky and just want to go.

Heaven, so far from here. Can’t we just come together and make it our home?

Heaven, so close to never. The time we’re wasting will always be gone.

Heaven, so far from here.  The time we live is so far away from home.

Heaven, I'm crying.

Heaven, look on down.

4. Tear It Up

Sometimes we’re all way too clean. Looking through windows to live at all. Passing by ends through no means. Wonder if we only dream small.

Late at night we both feel so cold. We ride over bridges that don’t fall. Never loving just growing old. Wonder if we risk anything at all.

Well, I don’t think I want to be that way anymore, watching ire as it grows to settle a score. Let go that pain and feel this embrace, it’s our time now to tear up this place.

We will be there - tear it up. We should be there - tear it up. We’ll do what we can now - tear it up.

Tear it up, Tear it up, Tear it up.

Well, sometimes we all feel so bold, acting bulletproof and ten feet tall. We got shoulders that always fold, wonder if we’re worth any salt at all.

And sometimes we’re all way too clean, look at the TV to live at all. Passing by ends through no means. Wonder if we only dream small.

Well, I don’t think I want to be that way anymore, watching ire as it grows to settle a score. Let go that pain and feel this embrace, it’s our time now to tear up this place.

5. Vanquish It Loud

Save me, danger looms and dark gray skies over the shadows of Muhammed’s lies.

Save me no more words to ease our fears everyone shutters in their anger and tears.

Grimacing street sign, painted red again, reveals the blood of the newly dead. Just around the corner from where you eat, a block away from where more will bleed.

And you say, vanquish it loud and hunt them down.

You send lives and lie to the other side of the world, hunting them like your old men learned. Leaving children lost in streets of rage, sure to breed more of the same.

God save us, do we have to choose a side? You know I don’t want any of yours or mine.

God save me, don’t want no bloodstained hands - I’m none of this my friend.

And you say, vanquish it loud and hunt them down.

And I say no, just leave it alone son. Don’t wake it from its chosen isolation. A self-incarceration. This ability to carve your annihilation and leave us to bleed filth in our excitation...no, just leave it alone son.

And you say, vanquish it now and hunt them down.
